Poker is alive and well in Sin City and many casinos are expanding their poker rooms due to the rising popularity of the World Series of Poker and the World Poker Tour both of which hold their championships in Vegas. Binion's Horseshoe hosts the World Series of Poker tournament in May/June, and the Bellagio hosts the World Poker Tour championship in April. Daily and weekly tournaments in Las Vegas generally have buy-ins ranging from about $40 to $2,000. The most popular Las Vegas poker games are Texas Hold 'em, Seven Card Stud poker and Omaha poker, small stakes or high stakes.

Of all the poker rooms in Las Vegas, the Bellagio Casino has one of the most luxurious. There are over 30 tables offering Texas Hold 'em and Seven Card Stud poker. Wednesdays and Fridays are big poker tournament days. Bellagio also hosts the annual Bellagio Five Diamond World Poker Classic in November/December –a stop on the World Poker Tour - the Bellagio Festa al Lago Poker Tournament in June/July, and the Five Star World Poker Classic in April. The World Poker Tour Championship is a part of the Five Star World Poker Classic.
